West Linn Police Dept. – 02/21/09
While Mr. Rostilov was being transported to the Clackamas County Jail by Ofc. Tony Poitras, the arresting officer, Ofc. Brad Moyle waited for the tow truck (M&M Towing)that had been dispatched to impound the car.
A short time later, Ofc. Moyle saw Liliya Yalova drive past him in a Toyota Camry. He broadcast the vehicle information to other officers in the area, as he believed she was intoxicated. Once the tow truck arrived, Ofc. Moyle left and assisted in the search for Ms. Yalova.
During the officer’s search Ms. Yalova returned to the scene and confronted the tow driver from M&M Towing. She threatened to go get a gun if he towed her husband’s car. She then went home, and the driver called the WLPD. While the officers were enroute, Ms. Yalova came outside with what appeared to be a gun. The tow driver then left the car, and drove away.
When the officers arrived Ms. Yalova had gone back into the house. Officers closed off the 200 block of Tumwater St, and used the public address system in their cars to call her out of the home. After about 45 minutes, she came out and was arrested for DUII, Menacing, and Disorderly Conduct. She was also lodged at the Clackamas County Jail. The car was then impounded.
